We know how hard it is to accept that you or a loved one need help with an eating disorder. But the intensive outpatient program treatment is the best thing you can do for a healthy future.
When a client arrives at Willow Place for Women, we immediately do a comprehensive medical and psychological exam to evaluate the client’s needs and to establish a baseline. From there, we work on putting together a completely customized treatment program designed especially for that particular client. We also make sure to properly treat any underlying medical conditions or mental issues as necessary.
During intensive outpatient eating disorder treatment, our clients go to a variety of group classes each day, ranging from nutrition education to talking about co-occurring mood disorders that often come together with eating disorders. Once a week and as needed, clients will also meet with a therapist one-on-one. These meetings allow patients to delve deeper into issues surrounding their eating disorder. This helps to resolve the issues by the time the program is complete.
We offer our clients alternative therapies like massage, yoga, and writing and art therapy to help in their recovery. Many find that different outlets for anxiety help them bring the focus off of themselves and food control and more towards getting healthy and well.
Our intensive outpatient program is dedicated staff has a well-rounded, supportive, and safe approach to all of our clients. The end goal is always happiness, self-love, and health for the long haul.
