An eating Disorder affects one in 200 women. Of those, many will never get the help they so desperately need. At Willow Place for Women, we are working to reduce the stigma of eating disorders and treat the women who need it most for conditions like bulimia, anorexia, and binge eating disorder.
An eating disorder can be classified as a mental disorder that has a huge effect on the emotional and physical health of the person suffering from it. Eating disorders can affect women at any age, and of any physical stature. We understand the difficulty that comes along with an eating disorder, which is why we come up with a personalised plan for each individual client to meet their recovery needs and goals.
Each client that comes to Willow Place for Women receives highly individual care for their eating disorder based on their history and medical and psychological health. We take a well-rounded approach to eating disorder treatment that includes nutrition counseling, meal planning, group and individual therapy, exercise and fitness, and boosting self-image. Additionally, eating disorder relapse prevention strategies are implemented to help our clients post treatment for the best chance of long-term recovery success.
