This can include removing any screens in the room, darkening the room, and using sleep sound machines to make you more relaxed before bedtime. Using Mindfulness Practices

Mindfulness is a state of mind in which you are present for any particular moment. This helps a person steer clear of distractions and worrying about the past or future, which can be a trigger for stress for many people getting help through addiction treatment. Mindfulness can be evoked in a number of ways – typically, by using mindfulness-based techniques. Some of these techniques may include yoga, walking or existing in nature, and meditation. Using Self-Care

Self-care is the act of taking care of oneself. A person cannot be expected to overcome stress without first taking care of themself. But, self-care is not something that comes naturally – it is something that a person must take initiative to achieve. It’s vital that people who want to overcome the impacts of stress intentionally take care of themselves so that they are prepared to focus on goals and objectives in treatment as well as manage stress levels. Self-care can look different for everybody, as self-care are acts that help a person to love themselves more. Some examples of self-care acts can include practicing good hygiene, exercising, taking a bubble bath and putting on a face mask, taking a walk, and listening to a podcast.
